SINGAPORE: Australia’s Qantas Airways Ltd informed on Wednesday that it would order 10 Airbus SE A321XLR jets, taking its total A320neo family order to 109 jets.

According to the deal, 36 of the jets are of new long-range A321XLR model.

The A321XLR jets will be delivered from mid-2024. They will also have a 4,700 nautical mile range, the airlines said.

The jets can fly routes like Cairns-Tokyo or Melbourne-Singapore, which the existing narrow-bodies cannot fly, the airlines said. (Agencies)
