KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (United) has demanded with the government to withdraw the Guthi Bill registered at the parliament.

Organizing a press meet in the capital on Thursday, party chairmen duo Pashupati Shumsher Rana and Dr. Prakash Chandra Lohani urged the government to withdraw the bill arguing that it intends to end cultural and religious aspects of the country.

They warned of staging protests if the government paid no heed to their demand.

The Guthi Bill has been registered at the National Assembly a few days ago to manage the land of different Guthis. The bill has drawn flak from several quarters.
