Vehicle carrying chair and vice-chair of Achham’s Dhakari rural municipality turns turtle

KATHMANDU: A vehicle carrying the chairperson and vice-chairperson of Dhakari rural municipality of Achham has met with an accident at Sanphebgar.

The vehicle, Ba 2 Jha 3765, of the rural municipality met with an accident on the road at Sanphebgar municipality-4, according to police.

Achham Chief District Officer Bishwaraj Maraseni informed that Netra Kaladevi Shahi, vice chairperson of the rural municipality, and driver Lali Nepali, 43, of Dhakari were injured in the accident. According to him, rural municipality’s chairman Prakash Saud escaped unhurt.

According to him, rural municipality chairperson’s one-year-old son, bay-sitter Birendra Shahi, 34, Chaurpati rural municipality’s vice chairperson Saru Devi Khadka, her daughter Barsha Khadka were traveling in the vehicle.

Chief District Officer Maraseni said the accident took place at 4 am today.
