Nepal fielding against Bhutan

KATHMANDU: Nepali U-19 women’s cricket team has to field first against Bhutan in the ongoing ICC U-19 Women’s Twenty20 World Cup Asia qualifiers today.

Bhutan’s captain Gwang Choden decided to bat after winning the toss at the Kinarara Academy Oval in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Nepal had defeated Qatar by 79 runs in the first match. However, in the second match, Nepal lost to United Arab Emirates (UAE) by 10 runs. Nepal was all out for 8 runs in that match.

With 9 runs scored, UAE completed the target without losing a wicket in seven balls. With this defeat, Nepal’s chances of being selected in the World Cup have become weak.

The top team from the Asian selection will make it to the World Cup to be held in South Africa.

Nepali team: Kritika Marasini (captain), Kiran Kunwar, Sanu Rajbanshi, Ashma Magar, Shrishti Jaishi, Manisha Rana, Sneha Mahara, Sana Praveen, Anu Kathayat, Manisha Upadhyay and Elisha Yadav.
