Budget allocations to ministries and departments



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supply has got Rs 10.48 million budget for the coming fiscal year.

Similarly, for the tourism sector, the government has allocated Rs 9.38 billion. For aviation infrastructure development, Rs 12.24 billion has been allocated.

Presenting the budget for the fiscal year 2022/23 in the federal parliament on Sunday, Finance Minister Janardan Sharma said Rs 7.4 billion was allocated for the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, and Poverty Alleviation.

Similarly, Rs 13 billion has been allocated to the Ministry of Forest and Environment, while the PM Employment Program has got Rs 7.5 billion budget.

The Ministry of Labor, Employment, and Social Security has been allocated Rs 9.13 billion while the Ministry of Health and Population got Rs 69.38 billion.

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has been allocated Rs 70.5 billion budget for the coming fiscal year.

Rs 37.73 billion has been allocated for the Ministry of Urban Development; Rs 2.9 billion for the Ministry of Youth and Sports; Rs 1.77 billion for the Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens; Rs 161.56 billion for the Ministry of Infrastructures and Transport; Rs 8.59 billion for the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology; and Rs 25.3 billion for the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration.
