Doti bus mishap: 13 injured; child goes missing



DOTI: A child has gone missing in a bus accident at Gerupani of Doti’s Shikhar municipality-1 in Doti.

Thirteen people have been injured.

The bus, Na 5 Kha 9663, heading for Achham from Kailali met with an accident at around 5 am today.

According to District Police Office, Doti, an 18-month-old son of Surendra Shahi of Achham Chaurpati Gaonpalika-6 is missing from the accident.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhola Kumar Bhatta said the boy may have gone missing in the river as the bus reached the bank of the Seti River.

Three persons, including a co-driver, have been seriously injured in the accident. The seriously injured have been referred to Dhangadhi, Bhatta said. Eight persons have sustained minor injuries. The injured are being treated at Shaileshwari Hospital, said DSP Bhatta.

The bus driver is absconding. Police said they are searching the drive and a further investigation into the accident is underway.
