NC wins in Kirtipur municipality



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress candidate Raj Kumar Nakarki has been elected Mayor of Kirtipur municipality, securing 9,043 votes.

His nearest rival from CPN UML Keshratna Bajracharya got 5,507 votes, according to chief returning officer in Kathmandu, Thakur Bhattarai.

Similarly, Janata Samajbadi Party’s Shuva Laxmi Shakya has been elected Deputy Mayor, securing 8,665 votes while her nearest rival from CPN UML Bindu Maharjan got 7,206 votes.
