ODI series: Nepal set 137-run target for Zimbabwe ‘A’



KATHMANDU: Nepal set a 137-run target for Zimbabwe ‘A’ in a cricket match of the ODI series underway at TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.

Invited to bat first after losing the toss, Nepal notched up 136 runs losing all wickets in 31.3 overs.

Sompal Kami topped the score with 30 runs including two fours and one six off 70 balls. Similarly, Karan KC, Kushal Bhurtel, and Dipendra Singh Airee made 25, 19, and 18 runs respectively.

In reply, Brad Evans grabbed the highest four wickets while Cephas Zhuwao, Brandon Mavuta, and Victor Nyauchi took two wickets each from Zimbabwe A.

The ODI series between the Nepali cricket team and Zimbabwe ‘A’ started from today following the conclusion of the three-match T20 series.

The second match between Nepal and Zimbabwe will be played on Saturday and the third match will be played on Monday at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. The game will start at 9 am.

In the previous T20 series, Zimbabwe and Nepal won one match each but one match ended in a 1-1 draw due to rain.
