KATHMANDU: Nepal has won the third and final T20 practice match against Zimbabwe ‘A’ by eight wickets.

Nepal reached the target of 137 runs set by Zimbabwe ‘A’ by losing two wickets in the over.

Today’s victory turned into an equalizer against three-day match played against Zimbabwe.

Nepal had lost the first match against Zimbabwe by 6 wickets. The second match was postponed due to rain.

Ashif Sheikh scored 87 not out in 54 balls.

Similarly, Kushal Bhurtel was dismissed for 34 off 26 balls while Bashir Ahmed was dismissed for 10 off 15 balls.

Zimbabwe, who were invited to bat after losing the toss, had added 136 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Batting in reply, Nepal added 138 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 15.5 overs.

Captain Sandeep Lamichhane took 2 wickets, Sompal Kami and Bashir Ahmed took 1/1 wickets each to downsize Zimbabwe in 136 runs.

Nepal is scheduled to play three One Day Internationals against Zimbabwe on May 6-8.
