KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a circular to the Chief District Officer (CDO) and district police chiefs urging them not leave their respective working districts at the same time.

Minister Khand said this while inaugurating the eighth departmental convention of Nepal Civil Service Employees Union at Home Ministry on Friday.

Noting that the Home Ministry is not like other ministries since it is of special nature to provide twenty-four hour service, he acknowledged staffers who devote their time to serve the people in difficult situation.

The civil service employees are the main backbone of state system operations, Minister Khand said, suggesting them to be ever ready to face any situation anytime.

“New challenges and responsibilities may come along so the employees should be well prepared to avert the problems.” He stressed that employees should deliver service to the people effectively noting that the service recipients would feel a big relief if the duration of the service delivery was shortened.
