Chand-led CPN calls for ‘Nepal Bandh’ on November 16



KATHMANDU: Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’-led Communist Party of Nepal has called for a ‘Nepal Bandh’ on November 16.

The party called for the strike protesting the hike in prices of petroleum and food items that affected the daily life of the people.

The party’s general secretary Biplav, issuing a statement Thursday, announced series of a protest program, including Nepal Bandh (strike).

The party announced nationwide protest at 3 pm on November 11; publicity program and torch procession on November 12; nationwide demonstration on November 13 and other events leading up to November 16.
