MCC Vice President Fatema holds talks with UML Chairman Oli

KATHMANDU: Vice President of Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Fatema Sumar reached Balkot to hold talks with CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli Thursday afternoon.

UML leaders Bishnu Rimal and Rajan Bhattarai are also attending the meeting.

Earlier, speaking at a meeting of the UML parliamentary party on Wednesday, Oli had said that it was not his responsibility to endorse the MCC.

While questions are being raised about MCC from different quarters, Fatema arrived in Kathmandu Thursday morning to hold discussions with top leaders of Nepal’s political parties.

She is meeting with Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Friday.

The security arrangements in Kathmandu have been tightened keeping in mind the security of the visiting MCC officials.
