UML leader Nembang says govt likely to collapse if cabinet expanded

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leader Subash Nembang has said the government is likely to collapse and the parties face prospect of split if the cabinet is expanded.

Speaking at a program organized by the National Youth Federation on Monday, Nembang said the fear of the government collapsing was the main reason behind the delay in expansion of the Council of Ministers. He noted cabinet had not been expanded although 50 days have passed since the government was formed.

“The government is being run by five Ministers, including Prime Minister, and it shows no sign of expansion. There is fear that the government could collapse if cabinet is expanded. The government is running along a precarious situation,” Nembang said.

He defended former Prime Minister KP Oli saying it was his compulsion to dissolve the parliament for the second time and remarked that the Supreme Court’s decision was surprising.
