The British College receives accreditation from British Accreditation Council as an Independent Higher Education Institution

KATHMANDU: The British Accreditation Council (BAC) has awarded The British College as an Independent Higher Education Provider.

This is in addition to the status already held by the College as an Approved Higher Education Franchise Partner for their UK university partners, the University of the West of England and Leeds Beckett University.

This award is the result of a very detailed inspection process that many of the staff and students at the College were involved in. It included a full review of all College facilities, covering the courses, academic staff, departments, buildings, resources, and online provisions – as well as extracurricular activities and employability.

As a result, BAC not only awarded TBC but also drew attention to a number of strengths that they observed at The College throughout their inspection.

They commented on the high quality of TBC’s external partners, advisers, stakeholders, and advisory panel – a collective support team that guides the College and helps to ensure it is always maintaining the highest of standards.

They also highlighted the strength of the College’s learning resources and materials, as well as the high-quality support, advice, and guidance that is available to all students.

They were further impressed with the professional and well-equipped learning facilities and commended the College on its strong leadership – which they felt showed a clear focus on continual enhancement and improvement.

The British Accreditation Council also observed how engaged the students were in the way they shared their learning experiences – and were particularly impressed with how the academic teams managed to keep them focussed throughout the pandemic.

They applauded the team for the way in which they switched to online learning and used it to ensure students felt connected during a very difficult period.

TBC Marketing & Admission Head Amardeep Mandal said that they are delighted with this significant award and feel it truly reflects how the TBC family – students, alumni staff, and other stakeholders – have worked, and will continue to work, collectively and effectively together.
