4,000 volunteers mobilized against COVID-19 in Karnali Province



SIMKOT: In a bid to control the spread of coronavirus in the province, the Karnali State government has set up a mechanism, infrastructure, and budget arrangements (COVID-19 Fund).

The Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers, Karnali said that it has mobilized more than 4,000 women health volunteers from the fund.

Doctors, health workers and staff will get incentives from the fund.

The state government has managed the COVID-19 response with high priority.

The Karnali government claims that the program has helped in the development of health infrastructure including the construction of ICU, ventilators, oxygen plants, ambulances, holding centers, and hospitals.

Spokesperson of the government and Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, Sita Kumari Nepali informed that regular health services have been re-launched even in the event of an epidemic by managing the manpower in the health sector.
