India’s COVID-19 death toll hits 359,695 with 6,138 deaths in past 24 hrs

NEW DELHI: The COVID-19 infection cases in the southern neighbor India have declined significantly, of late.

India recorded 93,896 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the caseload to 29,182,072.

Earlier, the daily infection cases had reached up to 400,000.

Currently, 1,183,475 are undergoing treatment at various isolation centers and hospitals. Meanwhile, 27,638,902 have returned home after treatment.

Similarly, the number of deaths from the coronavirus in India has crossed the 359,600-mark.

With 6,138 deaths in a single day, the number of deaths from the virus has reached 359,695, according to the latest figures collated by the Worldometers.

Broken out in Wuhan City of China in December 2019, the coronavirus has killed 3,776,072 and infected 175,151,457 globally until the filing of this news.
