Valley CDOs discussing modalities to ease prohibitory orders

KATHMANDU: Chief District Officers of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur are meeting today to decide on the modality to ease the ongoing prohibitory orders in the Valley.

The meeting to be held on Tuesday afternoon will discuss easing the prohibitory orders as the coronavirus infection rate has been gradually declining of late.

The authorities are likely to ease the prohibitory orders imposed in the Kathmandu Valley considering the decline in the number of positive cases, sources said.

Experts had earlier suggested that the prohibitory orders can be eased in the first week of June infection rate has dropped.

The prohibitory order imposed in the Valley has made people’s life difficult.

The one-week ban extended in the Kathmandu Valley is coming to an end on June 3.
