Civil servants to get 10 days tourism leave



KATHMANDU: The government has announced a 10-day tourism vacation deployment for government employees.

Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel announced this while unveiling the budget of the Fiscal Year 2021/22, saying the government has brought this policy of ‘tourism leave’ to promote domestic tourism.

“In order to promote domestic tourism, the employees of government bodies and public institutions will be provided an amount equal to 10 days’ salary while on deputation on tourism leave,” said Minister Poudel.

He said that the employees working in the private sector will also be encouraged to provide the same facility.
