KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has granted amnesty to 430 prisoners serving sentences in various prisons across the country.
President Bhandari, on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers, officially pardoned the remaining sentences of 430 prisoners selected on the occasion of Republic Day.
Issuing a notice Friday, the President’s Office notified in this regard.
The prisoners will be released Saturday.
