Govt to introduce new budget on May 29



KATHMANDU: The government is not bringing national policies and programs this year due to the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR).

Preparations are underway to bring the budget for fiscal 2021/22 through an ordinance.

Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel will present the new budget from the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on May 29.

The budget will be unveiled at 4 pm on Saturday, according to the Finance Ministry.

Many people are cautiously eying the budget whether it will prioritize the health sector or not, since it is being brought amid the COVID-9.
