Four injured in Bara bus mishap



KATHMANDU: Four bus passengers got injured when a bus heading towards the bridegrooms’ met with an accident in Bara on Monday morning.

According to Bara District Police, a bus carrying people taking part in marriage ceremony from Rautahat to Basadilwa met with an accident at Dakaha of Kalaiya Piluwa Road in Jitpur Simara -16.

The Na 4 Kha 4749 bus that was carrying around 40 passengers overturned in a field on the left side of the road getting four of them injured, Bara Police Spokesperson DSP Gautam Mishra said.

Seven sustained minor injuries in the accident.

Gautam informed that the injured have been taken to Birgunj for treatment.

Police have taken bus driver Aklesh Chaudhary, 30, of Rautahat Chandrapur-8 under the control of Jaitapur police and have started investigation.
