KATHMANDU: With the enforcement of prohibitory orders in Kathmandu and elsewhere, animals, including street dogs have been facing hard times for survival.
Considering this, the Kathmandu Animal Treatment Center (KAT), an animal treatment center located at Budhanilkantha in the capital, has come to their support.
This Center has been providing birth control, vaccinations, animal rescue services besides conducting education and awareness programs for the benefit of the street animals.
The KAT has also been making arrangements for veterinarians, staffers, and volunteers to feed hungry dogs and birds amid the Covid-19 pandemic by adopting high vigilance.
According to the organization, it has been nurturing and feeding street dogs in Kathmandu.
Basu Parajuli, a staffer at KAT, said that the organization took care of as many as 14 dogs in the Swayambhu area on Monday after a request from a community there.
