RSP Chief Whip Burlakoti withdraws from race for general secretary

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chief Whip Kabindra Burlakoti has withdrawn from the race for the party’s general secretary position.

According to party sources, he withdrew his candidacy in line with the practice of avoiding dual responsibilities for a single individual.

However, Burlakoti said his decision was voluntary and aimed at creating space for capable and strong leadership within the party.

He also stated that he would extend support to other qualified candidates in the election process.

As the RSP’s first national general convention continues with the selection of office-bearers, efforts to reach consensus on leadership positions are still ongoing.
