Fire in coal factory causes loss worth millions of rupees



JHAPA: A fire that broke out at an air gas coal factory in Mechinagar Municipality-15 Milkoti area of ​​Jhapa on Monday morning has caused the loss worth millions of rupees.

According to Rakesh Thapa, the spokesperson of the District Police Office, Jhapa, the preliminary investigation shows the fire took place due to short circuit.

He informed that a team of the Armed Police Force, Dhulabari Area Police Office, Jamirgadhi Police Station and locals strove hard to bring the fire under control.

In addition to the human efforts, the fire brigades from Mechinagar, Birtamod and Urlabari municipalities of Jhapa and Morang brought the fire under control.

The fire, which started at 3 am in the morning, was brought under control after three hour-long persistent efforts.

The police are investigating for further details.
