NEPSE decreases by 75.79 points

KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has decreased by 75.79 points on Sunday.

With today’s decline, the index has come down to 2,572.22 points.

The Sensitive Index, which reflects the share price of Class ‘A’ companies, has also decreased by 2.63 percent.
Indexes of all groups have declined today. The share index of hotel and tourism group shrunk by 6.14 percent, hydropower by 4.37 percent, finance company group by 3.4 percent, and non-life insurance company group by 3.34 points.

The banking group’s index, which dominates the stock market, fell 2.34 percent, while the trading and microfinance index dropped by 3.1 percent and 3.06 percent, respectively.

The share price of Chandragiri Hills also decreased by 8.43 percent.

Among the biggest losers, Narayani Development Bank lost 8.19 percent, Reedy Hydropower 7.66 percent, Union Hydropower 7.43 percent, and Oriental Hotels Limited 6.36 percent. The highest number of 723,657 shares of Nepal Infrastructure Bank (NEFRA) was bought and sold at a price of Rs 395,252,640 on Sunday.

Similarly, shares of Jyoti Life Insurance worth Rs 33.85 billion have been bought and sold. Similarly, shares of Upper Tamakoshi worth Rs 259.7 million have been traded. Jyoti Life has had 21,994 transactions.

A total of 1,46,90,720 shares of 215 companies worth Rs 7.28 billion were traded through 1,040 transactions on Sunday.
