Air pollution continues in districts including Valley



KATHMANDU: Air pollution has not subsided in various districts including the Kathmandu Valley.

The air quality in the Valley is unhealthy for breathing, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

Cities including Dhangadhi and Bharatpur have been covered in smog with over 200 Air Quality Index (AQI).

The AQI with over 200 is considered harmful to the human health.

The Kathmandu Valley has 194 AQI as measured this morning while New Delhi, the capital city of India, has 200 AQI.

Medical professionals have advised people to put on masks and adopt other health precautions to remain safe from COVID-19 and air pollution.
