124 flights canceled in past 3 days due to air pollution



KATHMANDU: Flight services have been affected for the last three days due to thick smog blanketing the Kathmandu Valley.

According to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), as many as 124 flights (including both domestic and international) have been canceled due to bad weather since last Friday.

TIA witnessed a cancellation of 24 domestic flights on Friday, 56 on Saturday and 44 flights were cancelled until 6 pm on Sunday, informed Purna Prasad Chudal, the chief of domestic airport division of TIA.

On the international side, only three flights were canceled.
