HoR passes condolence motion on Koirala’s demise



KATHMANDU: Today’s meeting of the House of Representatives has unanimously passed the condolence motion in the demise of former Constitution Assembly member, Ashok Koirala.

The proposal was presented by House Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota.

The meeting paid tribute to Koirala, who played a leadership role in movements waged for the establishment of democracy and republic. Koirala died at the age of 71 on March 17 in course of treatment.

The House also extended condolence towards the bereaved family. The meeting observed one minute’s silence in his respect. The next HoR meeting has been scheduled on March 23.
