PM Oli, Biplav to jointly address program today



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli and Nepal Communist Party General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand alias Biplav are sharing the same stage to address a program in Kathmandu on Friday.

The government and the Biplav group on Thursday signed a three-point agreement and are making the details public amidst a special program today.

Prime Minister Oli and General Secretary Biplav will jointly address the program at the City Hall at 2 pm.

According to the agreement signed between the government and the Biplav group on Thursday, the latter will resolve all its political agendas through dialogues, carry out its political activities through peaceful means.

Similarly, the government will lift its ban on the Biplav group, release all its leaders and cadres and scrap cases filed against them, according to the agreement.

The three point agreement was signed following two rounds of talks on Wednesday and another meeting on Thursday morning.

Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa from the government side and Spokesperson Khadga Bahadur Bishwokarma alias Prakanda representing the Biplav group has signed the agreement.

The government had put a ban on the Biplav outfit on March 12, 2019.
