Media sector needs supports from govt, political parties, Gagan says



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) central committee member and former minister Gagan Kumar Thapa has argued the coronavirus pandemic has pushed Nepal’s media sector into a critical state.

At a program, Thapa said that the media sector was in need of support from the government and political parties.

On the occasion, journalists Surya Prasad Adhikari and Dinesh Shrestha of Chitwan were honored.

Leader Thapam senior artiste Nir Shaha and Lucky Media House’s General Manager Hari Karki honored Adhikari, Shrestha, and many other personalities for their contributions to society from their respective fields.
