Kunwar appointed Chief Registrar of SC



KATHMANDU: Lal Bahadur Kunwar has been appointed the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court.

The post of Chief Registrar was vacant at the SC after the Judicial Council on January 24 appointed Nripa Dhwoj Niraula as the chief judge of the high court.

TH meeting of the Council of Ministers on February 11 had appointed Kunwar to the post based on the recommendation of the Law Service Commission held on February 7.

Likewise, Nirmala Poudel was appointed as the Registrar of the SC. Poudel is the first woman to be appointed as the SC’s Registrar. Prior to this, Poudel was the registrar at the Administrative Court. RSS
