Student leaders arrested while showing back flags to ministers



KATHMANDU: Student leaders of the All Nepal National Free Students’ Union (ANNFSU) close to the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Prachanda-Nepal faction have been arrested for showing back flags to ministers.

They showed black flags near the minister’s quarters in Pulchowk on Tuesday evening as the ministers were returning to their residences.

ANNFSU said that ministers were greeted with black flags as per the pre-announced program against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR).

Student leaders Aarti Lama, Manisha Karki, Sanjay Kaljan, and Niroj Shrestha have been arrested and have been kept at Metropolitan Police Range, Jawalakhel.
