Not Kulman, PM Oli ended load shedding: Shankar Pokharel

PYUTHAN: Lumbini Province Chief Minister Shankar Pokharel has said that load shedding was not ended for former Managing Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Kulman Ghising but by Prime Minister KP Oli.

He said at a meeting of district-level leaders and cadres of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Oli faction on Thursday, “Prime Minister Oli had ended the power outage by signing a transmission line and power purchase agreement with India when there was a shortage of 250 MW.”

Chief Minister Pokharel argued that Ghising controlled the power leakage but Oli managed it.
