Prachanda-Nepal faction engages in discussions as Oli recommends Parliament dissolution

KATHMANDU: The dispute in the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has got complicated after Prime Minister KP Oli recommended the dissolution of the parliament.

An emergency meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Sunday morning had recommended before President Bidya Devi Bhandari to dissolve the Parliament.

After Oli’s move, leaders including NCP Executive Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda are engaged in discussions.

Prachanda, senior leaders Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhalanath Khanal are holding discussions at Prachanda’s residence in Khumaltar.
