RPP submits memorandum demanding not to change name of Ratna Park

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Kathmandu has submitted a memorandum to the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) demanding not to change the name of Ratna Park.

RPP handed over the memorandum to the metropolis today demanding to ‘correct the mistake made’ in changing the name of the park located at the heart of Kathmandu.

RPP Kathmandu District Chairman Nawaraj Sinkhada said that the park should not be renamed after national icon Shankhadhar Sakhwa as it has already become popular with another name.

In a memorandum submitted to the Executive Chief of the metropolis Rajeshwar Gyawali, it has been demanded that a grand park be built in a new place in the name of Shankhadhar Sakhwa.
