NC President Deuba in home quarantine

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has been in home quarantine after two staffers of his secretariat tested positive for the coronavirus.

According to his personal aide Bhanu Deuba, two staffers of Deuba’s secretariat were diagnosed with the coronavirus on Wednesday.

The PCR reports of their swab samples which were collected on Tuesday came out positive yesterday.

Deuba has been in home quarantine of his Budhanilkantha-based residence since Wednesday.

Deuba is in home quarantine at a time when Prime Minister KP Oli, Nepal Communist Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Deuba were making preparations to discuss appointments in constitutional bodies.

With Deuba’s home quarantine, it is likely that the appointments in constitutional bodies will be delayed for some days.
