KUSHINAGAR: Chief Minister of India’s Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath on Sunday inspected the Kushinagar Airport and expressed the commitment to start international flight operations within the next two months.

Meanwhile, India’s Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri, who also accompanied Adityanath, took to Twitter, saying: “Kushinagar, the holy place where Lord Buddha left his corporal self & attained Mahaparinirvana will now have one of Uttar Pradesh’s four international airports. It will provide direct international & domestic air connectivity to pilgrims, tourists & visitors to this ancient town.”
