Prachanda extends greetings to Modi on India’s 74th Independence Day



KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Chairman and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda has extended greetings to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday.

“On the occasion of the glorious 74th Independence Day, I would like to convey my heartfelt greetings and congratulations to PM Modi ji, his government and people of India,” Prachanda said in a tweet.

Prachanda has also extended best wishes for the continuous progress & prosperity of the people of India.


India celebrates the day to mark the independence of India from the imperial rule of the British rule on August 15. It was on this day that India became an independent, sovereign nation after almost a century of British rule.
