 Private schools discontinue online classes

KATHMANDU: Private school operators have shut down online classes from Thursday saying that the government did not pay heed to their concerns.

A joint meeting of Private and Boarding Schools’ Organization Nepal (PABSON) and National Private and Boarding Schools’ Association Nepal (N-PABSAN) on Wednesday took a decision to this effect.

They decided to discontinue online classes by sending teachers and staffers on unpaid leave.

PABSON, N-PABSON have been staging demonstration putting forth their demands that they should be allowed to open schools from July 16, take admission, and charge fee by giving official recognition to the online classes among others.
