Speaker Sapkota at Sindhupalchowk landslide site



SINDHUPALCHOWK: Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has reached Jambu, Bahrabise of Sindhupalchowk district to take stock of the damages caused by floods and landslides in the district.

Speaker Sapkota had earlier this morning returned from Dhulikhel due to adverse weather.

According to Social Development Ministry at Bagmati State, Yubraj Dulal, the team led by Speaker Sapkota reached the incident site and is facilitating the rescue of the injured persons.

He stated that critically injured persons would be airlifted to Kathmandu by helicopter.

It may be noted that two people have already died while 18 have gone missing in Jambu of Bahrabise municipality due to landslides and floods triggered by heavy rainfall.
