KATHMANDU: Private and Boarding Schools Organization (PABSON) Nepal, National Private and Boarding Schools Organization (N-PABSON) and Higher Institutions and Secondary Schools’ Association Nepal (HISSAN) are making preparations to open admission from June 15.

The representatives of umbrella organizations of the schools have said they would start taking admission during a meeting with the High Level Committee for the Prevention and Control of COVID-19.

“It is not possible to resume schools until the government tells us to do so as the coronavirus pandemic is still taking a toll on the country. We have requested the government to allow us to take admission from June 15,” said DK Dhungana, senior chairman of PABSON.

The High Level committee consulted with the stakeholders of the education sector in the course of preparing modality to ease the lockdown, said Dhungana.

Dhungana further said PABSON, NPABSON and HISSAN will submit a written suggestion to the Committee today.

The government on Thursday entrusted the High Level committee to prepare a modality to ease the lockdown.
