17 killed in Rolpa jeep accident



ROLPA: At least 17 people were killed in a Bolero jeep accident in Rolpa, according to Nepal Police.

The vehicle (Lu 1 Ja 4167), which was heading toward Jaljala from Rukum East, plunged off a cliff on Thursday at Jaljala in Thawang Rural Municipality-1.

Police said all 17 victims died on the spot after the vehicle fell approximately 800 meters down a steep slope.

A police team was immediately deployed to the site following the incident, and rescue operations are ongoing.
