KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Balendra Shah has said that relations between Nepal and India have always been cordial and strong.
Prime Minister Shah made the remarks during a meeting with Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava on Tuesday. Ambassador Srivastava, who is completing his tenure in Nepal, paid a farewell call on Prime Minister Shah at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Shah expressed gratitude to the Government of India for the support provided during the recent floods, landslides and other disasters in Nepal.
Prime Minister Shah also congratulated Ambassador Srivastava on the completion of his tenure and extended his best wishes for his return to India.
Ambassador Srivastava said that a number of development projects between Nepal and India had been completed during his tenure. He also expressed gratitude to the Government of Nepal and the Nepali people for their support and cooperation during his stay in Nepal.
