Govt pledges to resolve issues of squatters and landless citizens within next fiscal year



KATHMANDU: The government has announced that it will address the management and settlement of squatters and landless citizens within the upcoming fiscal year 2026/27.

Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle made the announcement while presenting the annual budget in the Federal Parliament.

Presenting the budget, he said the government is committed to resolving long-standing issues related to landless communities through systematic management and policy interventions within the fiscal year.
