KATHMANDU: The government has doubled the child nutrition allowance to Rs 1,000.
Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle announced the decision while presenting the budget for fiscal year 2026/27 in the Federal Parliament.
Until now, the child nutrition allowance stood at Rs 500. The revised provision aims to strengthen child welfare and nutrition support under social protection programmes.
