Govt raises personal income tax threshold to Rs 1 million



KATHMANDU: The government has increased the personal income tax threshold to Rs 1 million.

Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle announced the provision while presenting the budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

Until the current fiscal year, the personal income tax threshold stood at Rs 600,000. The new adjustment raises the exemption limit to Rs 1 million, according to the budget statement.
