Cabinet meeting taking place to approve fiscal budget



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Balendra Shah (Balen) has called a Cabinet meeting at 2:30 PM to endorse the income and expenditure estimates (budget) for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84 (2026/27).

The meeting will be held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar.

Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle is scheduled to brief the Cabinet on the proposed budget. Following the discussion, the Cabinet is expected to approve the budget.

After the Cabinet’s endorsement, Finance Minister Wagle will present the budget in Parliament. Along with the budget speech, the related documents will also be tabled in the House.
