KATHMANDU: The eastern part of Nepal has been affected by a low-pressure system along with westerly and local winds.
At present, the weather remains partly cloudy in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
The Weather Forecasting Division has predicted heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces. It has also forecast storms in some parts of the Tarai region later today.
According to the weather service, moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning is currently occurring in some areas of Gandaki Province, as well as in one or two locations in Bagmati and Karnali provinces.
Most areas in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces are expected to remain cloudy.
The Division has also predicted moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning in one or two places of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.
