Gold price surges by Rs 5,000, silver also rises in Nepali market



KATHMANDU: The price of gold, which had fallen by Rs 7,500 over the past two days, has surged again today, while silver has also become more expensive.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Federation, the price of gold increased by Rs 5,000 per tola today, reaching Rs 286,000 per tola.

Last Friday, gold had dropped by Rs 4,600 per tola to reach Rs 281,000. Earlier, on Wednesday, the price of gold had risen by Rs 13,000 per tola, but then declined consecutively on Thursday and Friday.

Overall, gold, which had decreased by Rs 36,000 over the last six days of the previous week, has now begun to rise again.

Today, silver prices have also increased, rising by Rs 50 per tola to reach Rs 4,720.
