Lawmaker Sherpa climbs Mt Everest carrying Federal Parliament emblem



KATHMANDU: Mingma David Sherpa, a Member of the House of Representatives from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has successfully climbed Mount Everest carrying the logo of the federal parliament. He is reported to have reached the summit at 5:40 am on Wednesday.

Sherpa announced the achievement on his Facebook page after returning to Base Camp on Wednesday evening, stating that he had completed the ascent on the ninth day of his expedition. He climbed Everest under the slogan “From the House to the Peak”.

He also expressed gratitude to all those who supported his expedition, including Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal.
